DAY 01 – MUNSYARI TO MARTOLI VILLAGE

Your expedition begins in Munsyari, a beautiful Himalayan town known for its spectacular views of the Panchachuli mountain range. After an early breakfast, depart for Martoli Village by a local vehicle, following the rugged mountain roads through the scenic Johar Valley.

The journey offers magnificent views of deep valleys, mountain rivers, traditional settlements, and dramatic Himalayan landscapes. As you travel deeper into the remote region, you will experience the unique beauty of the high-altitude villages of Kumaon.

Upon reaching Martoli, check into your accommodation and take some time to rest. Explore the traditional stone houses and narrow pathways of this historic Himalayan village. Enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere and prepare for the upcoming trekking days.

DAY 02 – MARTOLI TO TALLA SALANG Trekking Distance: Approx. 7 KM | Trekking Time: 6–7 Hours | Altitude: Approx. 4,000 m

Wake up to a beautiful Himalayan morning in Martoli Village. After breakfast, begin your trek towards Talla Salang, following scenic mountain trails through the remote landscapes of the Johar Valley.

The trail gradually ascends through rugged terrain, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, deep valleys, and untouched Himalayan wilderness. Along the way, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and the incredible beauty of this less-explored trekking region.

As you gain altitude, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic, with rocky slopes, alpine vegetation, and magnificent mountain scenery. Take regular breaks to rest, hydrate, and enjoy the surroundings.

Upon reaching Talla Salang, settle into your campsite and enjoy a peaceful evening in the lap of the Himalayas.

DAY 03 – TALLA SALANG TO SALANG BASE CAMP Trekking Distance: Approx. 3 KM | Trekking Time: 3–4 Hours | Altitude: Approx. 4,200 m
After breakfast, begin your short but adventurous trek towards Salang Base Camp. Today's trail takes you deeper into the high-altitude Himalayan landscape, where the surroundings become increasingly rugged and spectacular.

Follow the mountain route through rocky terrain and open alpine landscapes. Although the trekking distance is relatively short, the increasing altitude makes it important to maintain a comfortable pace and take sufficient rest.

Upon reaching Salang Base Camp, set up camp and enjoy the magnificent surroundings. Spend the remaining time exploring the nearby area, capturing photographs, and appreciating the spectacular mountain scenery.

This is an excellent opportunity to experience the peaceful atmosphere of the high Himalayas away from crowded trekking routes.

Overnight Stay: Camping at Salang Base Camp.

DAY 04 – SALANG BASE CAMP TO MARTOLI VILLAGE Trekking Distance: Approx. 7 KM | Return Trek
Wake up early and enjoy the beautiful morning views from Salang Base Camp. After breakfast, begin your return trek towards Martoli Village.

Retrace your steps along the mountain trail, enjoying a different perspective of the surrounding landscapes. The descending route takes you through the same beautiful Himalayan terrain, offering plenty of opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.

After reaching Martoli, check into your accommodation and relax after completing the Salang Dhura section of the expedition.

Spend the evening exploring the village, interacting with locals, or simply enjoying the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

DAY 05 – MARTOLI TO GANGHAR VILLAGE Journey by Vehicle | Approx. 14 KM | Altitude: Approx. 3,400 m
After breakfast, prepare for the next stage of your expedition. Today, travel by vehicle from Martoli towards Ganghar Village, passing through the beautiful and remote landscapes of the Johar Valley.

The journey offers spectacular views of mountain slopes, river valleys, traditional Himalayan settlements, and the surrounding peaks. The region is known for its unique cultural heritage and traditional stone houses that reflect the lifestyle of the local communities.

Upon reaching Ganghar Village, check into your accommodation and take some time to relax.

Later, explore the village and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Prepare for the upcoming journey towards Nanda Devi Base Camp.

DAY 06 – GANGHAR TO NANDA DEVI BASE CAMP Trekking Distance: Approx. 7 KM | Trekking Time: 6–7 Hours | Altitude: Approx. 4,100 m
Today is one of the most exciting and memorable days of the expedition. After an early breakfast, begin your trek towards Nanda Devi Base Camp.

Follow the mountain trail through the spectacular landscapes of the Nanda Devi region. The route takes you through rugged mountain terrain, rocky pathways, alpine surroundings, and beautiful high-altitude landscapes.

As you progress, enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and the untouched wilderness of this remote region.

The gradual ascent requires good physical endurance and proper acclimatisation. Maintain a steady pace, follow your trek leader's instructions, and take regular breaks.

Upon reaching the designated base camp, settle into your campsite and enjoy the incredible mountain surroundings. Spend some time appreciating the grandeur of the Nanda Devi landscape and capturing unforgettable photographs.

Overnight Stay: Camping at Nanda Devi Base Camp.

DAY 07 – NANDA DEVI BASE CAMP TO GANGHAR VILLAGE Return Trek | Trekking Distance: Approx. 7 KM
Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Himalayan mountains. After breakfast, begin your return trek from Nanda Devi Base Camp towards Ganghar Village.

Descend along the mountain trail, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. The return journey provides an opportunity to appreciate the natural surroundings from a different perspective.

After reaching Ganghar Village, check into your accommodation and relax.

Spend the evening resting and enjoying the peaceful environment after completing the Nanda Devi Base Camp section of the expedition.

DAY 08 – ACCLIMATIZATION & EXPLORATION DAY AT GANGHAR VILLAGE Rest Day | Altitude: Approx. 3,400 m
Today is reserved for rest, acclimatisation, and exploring the beautiful surroundings of Ganghar Village.

After several days of trekking at high altitudes, this rest day provides an opportunity for your body to recover and adjust before continuing towards Milam Village and Milam Glacier.

Enjoy a relaxed morning and explore the traditional Himalayan village. Observe the local lifestyle, traditional houses, surrounding mountain landscapes, and the natural beauty of the Johar Valley.

You can also spend some time interacting with local residents and learning about the region's history, culture, and traditional way of life.

Use the remaining time to organise your trekking equipment, check essential supplies, and prepare for the next stage of the expedition.

DAY 09 – GANGHAR VILLAGE TO MILAM VILLAGE Journey by Vehicle | Approx. 15 KM | Altitude: Approx. 3,500 m
After breakfast, get ready to continue your journey towards the historic Milam Village.

Travel by vehicle through the spectacular landscapes of the Johar Valley. The route offers beautiful views of mountain valleys, rocky slopes, river channels, and remote Himalayan settlements.

Milam Village is one of the most historically significant settlements in the region. Once an important centre of Indo-Tibetan trade, the village reflects the rich cultural and trading history of the Johar Valley.

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and relax.

Later, explore the village and its traditional surroundings. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and prepare for the next day's adventure to Milam Glacier.

DAY 10 – MILAM VILLAGE TO MILAM GLACIER & RETURN Trekking Distance: Approx. 6 KM | Altitude: Approx. 4,200 m
Today is the grand finale of your Himalayan expedition as you head towards the magnificent Milam Glacier, one of the most spectacular glacial landscapes in the Kumaon Himalayas. Start early in the morning after breakfast and begin your trek from Milam Village towards the glacier. Follow the mountain trail through rugged terrain, rocky landscapes, and glacial surroundings. As you approach the glacier, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with enormous mountain slopes, glacial formations, and spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Milam Glacier is an impressive natural wonder and an unforgettable destination for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. Spend some time exploring the designated safe viewpoints, capturing photographs, and enjoying the magnificent surroundings. Follow your guide's instructions and maintain a safe distance from unstable glacier edges and crevasses. After exploring the glacier, begin your return journey towards Milam Village. Reach the village by evening and relax after completing this memorable Himalayan adventure. Overnight Stay: Milam Village.

DAY 11 – MILAM VILLAGE TO MUNSYARI Return Journey by Vehicle | Approx. 70 KM | 6–8 Hours
After breakfast, pack your belongings and prepare for the return journey to Munsyari.

Travel back through the beautiful landscapes of the Johar Valley, enjoying the final views of the remote Himalayan villages, mountain valleys, and surrounding peaks.

The journey offers an opportunity to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past ten days, from trekking through the Salang region to exploring Nanda Devi Base Camp and witnessing the magnificent Milam Glacier.

Upon reaching Munsyari, the expedition officially comes to an end.

Depart with unforgettable memories, incredible photographs, and a lifetime experience of exploring the remote Kumaon Himalayas.

Cancellation charges are based on the total trek fee, irrespective of the amount paid either full or partial.

The cancellation policy is based on the original booking time and original start date of the trek.

• Cancel before 30 days of trek start date and get full refund after deduction of 2.5% payment processing fee.
• Cancel before 15 days of trek start date and get refund after deduction of 20% of total trek fee.
• Cancel before 10 days of trek start date and get refund after deduction of 40% of total trek fee.
• Cancel before 5 days of trek start date and get refund after deduction of 60% of total trek fee.
• Trek fee is non-refundable if you cancel within 4 days before trek start date.

Trek cancellation due to weather:

• In case of an incomplete trek due to weather conditions, one can opt for the same trek again throughout their lifetime on all our fixed departure for the same trek.
• This attempt only covers the trek fee and will not include any rentals or the transportation amount paid earlier.
• This is non-transferable.

DO’S AND DON’TS ON A TREK

1.Alcohols or any other intoxicating products "STRICTLY PROHIBHITED" during the trek.
2.Always pay heed to the trek guides or instructors.
3.Try not to leave the group under any circumstances.
4.Avoid trekking during the nights as it is extremely dangerous.
5.Avoid using earphones as that might hinder your hearing.
6.Do not participate or encourage littering of the places in any form.
7.While visiting the local villages and tourist sites, obey the local guidelines and instructions.
8.Do not harm or interrupt the local sentiments of the places.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns.
Since adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it.
